Container and Garden Design

Sacred Spaces Design specializes in container design for the home and business. We are plant lovers and creators. We believe that beauty exists regardless of size or season.

Pots can transform any space into a place of welcome and delight. Nestled in the garden, flanking a doorway, or grouped en masse, they make a statement by creating a sense of welcome and place.

Gretchen has been designing my containers for the last 8 years. I have a small bungalow and she transforms the look of my small front and back yard twice a year by updating my containers. She always adds interesting colors and textures and chooses a combination of flowers, grasses, and plants that look beautiful and last throughout the season. She’s got an incredible eye for design and makes it so simple for me to maintain. I get compliments on my containers all the time. Gretchen is an absolute pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend her highly enough. She makes it so easy and she does stunning work.
I worked with Gretchen to develop my back garden after a season of construction. I was new to both the Pacific Northwest and the practice of gardening so wanted some guidance on what to plant that would be best suited for this climate. I also wanted to take advantage of the four-season gardening available in this region and longed for an English cottage-style garden to boot! Gretchen quickly helped me form a vision for my space, offering plenty of plant ideas for year-round interest all the while providing me with the romantic style I desired and even throwing in a few Midwestern favorites. She’s now my go-to whenever I need any gardening assistance. I’m so grateful we were able to work together!

We only work with the best planting materials available and never compromise quality for time. We give clients realistic schedules that accommodate their lives. Customer service is our top priority. We aim to spark joy, create patches of calm, and enliven your space. Let's work together to make something beautiful.

About Us

Sacred Spaces Design began door-to-door among neighbors. Since 2005, Gretchen Champoux and her team have planted hundreds of pots for homeowners, renters, apartment dwellers, business store fronts, and commercial properties in the Seattle area – all of whom they consider neighbors.

In addition to Sacred Spaces, Gretchen has a psychotherapy practice called Garden + Soul where she helps others heal and create meaning from past trauma.
